Grief doesn't disappear but with caring support you can find peace
Thank you for being a Friend of Living and Learning Through Loss. We, the youth we serve and their families are grateful for your contribution.
Fortunately, Friends of Living and Learning Through Loss (LTL) have been supporting young people between 13-24 years old in Greater Victoria to navigate the challenging journey of loss. In the last year, we’ve delivered Loss and Grief education workshops for students, parents and educators and provided free counselling support to youth who have lost
-
Multiple family members and friends to the opioid crisis and suicide
-
Siblings and friends to tragic accidents
-
Parents to illness, accidents, and estrangement
Long after a gift of condolence flowers wilt, your donation to Learning Through Loss will continue to benefit bereaved youth and families in our community.
Grief doesn’t do well in isolation. It takes a village to support bereaved youth in our community.
Even when a loved one is lost or life comes to an end, you and they can still make the world a better place for others who remain.
-
Include a bequest to “Friends of Living and Learning Through Loss” in your Will
-
Make a memorial contribution in the name of a family member or friend to keep their memory and legacy alive
-
In lieu of flowers, invite friends and family to make a “Celebration of Life” contribution to “Friends of Living and Learning Through Loss”
We’re always happy to answer your questions. Send us an email or book a meeting with our Executive Director, Kathryn Dafos.
